I have read one book so far for my Mythothon Challenge that was created by FoxesFairytale and have moved onto my second one. Although I have discovered that I am either going to be cheating slightly or going to have to read this book and assign it to something that I think suits it better. As you see I am currently reading Sympathy by Olivia Sudjic which I thought was a 2018 release and yet when I looked on the inside cover as I opened it to begin reading I discovered that it was actually released in 2017 and it was just my edition of it that was released in 2018. So does that count? Not really sure. I am going to have to find another prompt to assign it to I think. Not sure what yet but my brain will come up with something I am sure.
So I am going to be replacing my 2018 read I think and assigning this book to a new category/prompt. My idea is to assign it to Free Choice and that way I haven’t really lost any bingo’s that I am aiming toward and just need to rethink a few of my other books, which is perfectly doable. I just need to take each book as it comes.
So that is one update out the way.
My second update is:
I have been trying to read more books that are either longer or not the usual books that I read and that started with The Hour Glass Factory, which I have reviewed here and that was the first completed book for the Mythathon Challenge, as mentioned above.
my TBR shelf seems to be getting bigger and bigger and yet I am doing nothing to try and get it down I only keep adding to it over and over again. Something that I am sure will only get worse in the future with Christmas around the corner. It doesn’t exactly help that I am a pretty slow reader and have to sometimes sit in a room on my own and just read for a few hours without stopping to get a book finished, especially when challenging myself in a book challenge. Don’t get me wrong I love reading I just get distracted if there is any kind of noise in the background or anyone talking around me and can’t concentrate, which gets rather annoying sometimes. Especially when I go to the library to get some quiet and it is the staff that are talking at the tops of their voice and shouting across the library.
Anyway my update is over, and it turned out to be a bit of a rant. I am actualyl working on creating my own book tag/book challenge if anyone is interested in that just keep an eye out.
Until Next time
