Welcome to another blog post. I had this crazy idea running through my head so pondered whether or not to explore it a little further and see where it got me and this is the result.
Are the Weasley’s related to the one and only Mr Willy Wonka?
Lets review all that we know and see of we can come to a conclusion together. If we state each fact and then put our explanation and reasoning behind it. You can decide for yourself what you think. Sound fair?
Fact Number one: They both make a load of strange and wonderful candy. Is it a coincidence that they both seem to have such a talent for creating such strange and wonderful candy and chocolate and selling it out into the world. Neither of them seem to have usual ideas and it seems that even the flavours are not the flavour that you would expect them to be.
Fact Number two: They both have their own ways to experiment their candy, sure Fred and George Weasley uses the unorthodox way of testing it on the poor unsuspecting first years, or older students that were stupid enough, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Willy Wonka on the other hand tested all his products out on his Oompa Loompa’s from Loompa Land, which to Muggles is a made up place. What if it isn’t? Willy Wonka is certainly a wizard witch chocolate. What if he is actually a wizard? It is certainly something that is worth looking into, right? Loompa land could indeed be a real place, maybe Willy Wonka really did find a new land. After all there are some places that Muggles don’t know exist, Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, especially the latter, are just a couple.
Finally they both have their own factory, well the Weasley twins have a shop but they still have a large establishment in which they make and sell their candy to the public. So to come to a conclusion I think it is safe to say that there is some strong evidence to back up the fact that the two are in fact related in some way. Unless it is just some magical coincidence that happens to exist.
Or maybe the real question is is Roald Dahl himself the one that is related to the Weasley family and just using his skill of knowledge and strange flavours to create a story about a strange candy maker who doesn’t seem to know the ins and outs of the world around hi . I think it is safe to say its strange no matter what way you look at it.
What ever the truth I for one would definitely love to see the face of Molly Weasley if this, any of it, were to come out as true. You know that the Weasley twins would play up on it just to annoy her.
See you tomorrow Hopefully, my ideas are running rather short right now.
