I have no idea who created this tag as I was simply going through random blogs when I found it so ahuge shoutout to the creator who ever you are. Lets get into the questions.
1. You have 20,000 books in your TBR, how in the world do you decide what to read next?
Firstly I panic and then end up picking something at random and going with an entirely different book altogether, although now I generally seem to be picking books for Readathon’s or just getting together a pile of books and reading those. usually though I just panic and never know what to read. I don’t really tend to be much of a mood reader, but I do have books that I try to get to quickly.
2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?
I hate not finishing books, so for me to put a book down I have to really hate it and feel like I am literally holding a knife to my throat to make me read it before I put it down. DNF’ing books is just something that I hate doing and have only ever DNF’d two books in my life.
3. The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge, do you try to catch up? And if so, how?
No, if I don’t complete it then the world isn’t going to end I just shrug it off, as I generally set a goal that is way to high that way I don’t feel bad if I don’t reach it.
4. The covers of a series you love do not match, how do you cope?
I cry, its a as simple as that. It annoys me when they change the covers half way through a series so much that I literally want to contact the author and publisher and rant and rave at them about it.
5. Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?
Usually my sister as she reads anything and everything that I don’t read so we usually just complain to each other about the others reading tastes. So it sort of work out in the end.
6. You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?
I just cry, I don’t care. I have sat on a bus and laughed out loud at a book so why shouldn’t I cry? Who cares if people think I am weird then they will be right.
7. The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?
Yes, I always do it sets me up into the mood of the next book.
8. You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks?
I don’t. I just tell them I don’t lend books to anyone. I don’t care if you are the Queen you do not touch or even look at my books or my bookshelves without my permission, it is that simple.
9. You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?
Let it pass, reading slumps alwyas do with me. I know that in time I will be able to read again. I just have to wait for that moment to come to pass. Sometimes it takes longer and other times just a day or so.
10. There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read, how many do you end up buying?
Most likely all of them plus ones that I didn’t even know I wanted in the first place.
11. After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read how long do they sit on your shelves before you get to them?
Depends, usually I try and read them as soon as I can, but there are times when they sit there for a year or longer.
That is all for today, see you tomorrow.
